She's been dubbed the "indie acoustic pop queen" with a "penchant for songwriting." (Dayton City paper) In fact she recently won The John Lennon Songwriting Contest in the pop category for her song "Twisted Ballerina".

Jayne Sachs (pronounced Jane Sax), is an artist based out of Dayton, Ohio. In her career, she's been listed as "Best New Music" in The Album Network three different times, and named one of six "Best Unsigned Bands in the USA" by Virtually Alternative out of LA.

As soon as Jayne blasted onto the music scene in the mid 90's, she won first place in the infamous WOXY's (97Xposure) tri-state competition. Next her songs went into rotation on WOXY-FM and several other regional radio stations. From there Sachs has had numerous requests to open for national acts, performances at several high exposure events, songs on many CD compilations from around the country, invitations to showcase at several major music festivals, continuing radio play and wins at international songwriting competitions including the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and International Songwriting Competition along with several honorable mentions including the Billboard Song Contest.

Jayne Sachs Band consists of Steve Van Etten on electric guitar, Scott Shiverdecker on bass and Kelly Morelock on drums. They've been together for more than a decade which is certainly apparent given their ease on stage and "tight, powerful show".
